Many River Falls area residents work in nearby Minneapolis-St. Paul but they find “community” here. River Falls is home to UW-River Falls and its 6,450 students. The 226-acre campus has a student/faculty ratio of 19:1 and fields 18 men’s and women’s NCAA Division III varsity sports. Academic colleges include: Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences; Arts and Sciences; Business and Economics; Educational and Professional studies; and Outreach and Graduate studies. UW-RF offers 46 undergraduate majors, 61 undergraduate minors and 11 graduate degree programs.

The university is our largest employer but we also have a variety of light industries, a full-service hospital, two skilled nursing care facilities and several independent living retirement communities.
